Three Athletes Named as Finalists for Young Sports Star Award

Lionesses forward Michelle Agyemang, darts sensation Luke Littler and cricketer Davina Perrin have been selected as contenders for the upcoming Young Sports Star of the Year award.
These three athletes have been celebrated for their remarkable achievements over the past 12 months.
Agyemang helped the Lionesses secure Euro 2025, Littler won the world title for the maiden time, and Perrin burst onto the scene with a historic innings.
Littler claimed this honour in 2024 after his breakthrough year.
The three contenders were unveiled on a national radio breakfast show.
The champion will be unveiled on the Sports Personality of the Year show on Thursday, 18 December.
The event will be aired from 7 PM GMT.
Agyemang's Profile

A mere three months after her international debut, Agyemang played a dramatic and decisive role in England's run to European Championship victory.
She entered the fray to score crucial late equalisers in both the knockout stage games.
Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named the tournament's top young talent.
Afterwards, she was awarded the Golden Girl award for the finest emerging star on the continent.
She was also shortlisted for the Kopa Trophy for the planet's top young female footballer.
Agyemang, who has been playing for Brighton on loan from Arsenal, ruptured her anterior cruciate ligament in October.
"To be named a finalist for this award is incredible," said Agyemang. "Thank you to God and I'm thankful for the support I've received from my loved ones, mentors, colleagues and supporters."
Littler's Profile
Age: 18 Sport: Darts
Littler's 2025 began in incredible form as - at just 17 years old - he became the most youthful world title winner in history.
He secured a commanding win over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His later win at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth competitor to complete the prestigious PDC Triple Crown.
His success continued - his triumph in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he ascended to world number one for the very first time.
At 18, he is the earliest achiever to do so, breaking the previous record.
"Being nominated for the honour once more is a big honour," stated Littler. "Winning last year was a proud moment for me and I've had another incredible 12 months. I want to continue promoting darts."
Davina Perrin
Age: 19 Sport: Cricket
Perrin is one of English cricket's brightest emerging stars and surged to prominence with an extraordinary and record-breaking innings in August.
Her magnificent 42-ball century in The Hundred is the fastest by an English woman in T20s.
It also stands as the equal third-quickest women's T20 century in a premier tournament.
Perrin came in second place in the season's run tally and was named PCA Women's Young Player of the Year.
"I'm deeply humbled to be nominated for the young athlete award," expressed Perrin. "This is phenomenal. I hope it inspires more young females to get into cricket."
